At Straight Arrow Fence Co., we know that the right fencing doesn’t just contain animals—it completes a property. Our latest project near Parker, Colorado was a prime example of this philosophy. We recently finished four large horse runs connected to a newly constructed barn, and the results are both rugged and refined.
Each run features clean lines and durable construction with four rails of black powder-coated 1-5/8″ steel. These rails provide excellent visibility and a strong physical barrier without sacrificing the open feel that horses and owners both appreciate.
The 6-inch round posts are anchored deep and rise to 55 inches above final grade, creating a uniform, commanding look while maintaining ideal height for large horses. For added strength and resilience, the posts are spaced less than 8 feet apart—a tighter layout than standard that adds structural integrity and long-term durability.
Each run includes two gates made from heavy-duty Priefert pipe, known for their reliability and smooth operation. This setup makes the enclosures easily accessible and highly functional, whether you’re rotating turnout, feeding, or cleaning.
Why It Matters
For horse owners, the details matter when installing an equestrian fence. The right spacing, materials, and gate placement make day-to-day operations safer and smoother. We worked closely with the property owner to ensure that every post, rail, and gate was placed with intention. It’s this kind of partnership that makes our projects stand out.
This isn’t just functional fencing—it’s fencing that reflects care, foresight, and respect for the animals it serves. Designed for strength and built for Colorado’s climate, these runs are ready for years of service.
