Straight Arrow Fence just wrapped up a large, custom fencing project in scenic Larkspur, Colorado, where the goal was simple but demanding: secure a wide variety of animals with fencing that’s safe, functional, and built to last. Over 4,000 feet of fence went in, designed to contain everything from giant dogs and goats to chickens, cats, and even a cow.
Perimeter Protection with Electrified Vinyl-Coated Wire
We installed vinyl-coated wire fencing on wood posts around the entire perimeter of the property—providing durability, low maintenance, and a clean, polished look. To enhance security, we electrified two strands along the perimeter. This ensures animals stay in and uninvited wildlife stays out, all while maintaining a safe and humane system.
Livestock Pens Built for Versatility
Inside the property, we constructed livestock pens using horse fencing, which provides smaller openings ideal for containing goats and chickens while being safe for larger animals as well. The pens were also fully electrified, giving the owners full control and peace of mind when managing their mixed herd.
Curb Appeal with a Custom Driveway Curve
A highlight of this project was the sweeping curved section of fence leading up the driveway. It’s a subtle design detail that really enhances the property’s visual appeal and sets the tone for the rest of the install. As always, our crew ensured every line was tight, every post was true, and the final product matched the land perfectly.
A Fence for Every Animal
With no horses on site yet, this project was all about creating secure, durable enclosures for large dogs, goats, chickens, and one very content cow. The fencing we installed provides the flexibility to safely manage different species while keeping the property organized and protected.
