At Straight Arrow Fence, we take pride in building high-quality equestrian fences, no matter the weather—yes, even in the freezing Colorado winters! We recently completed a stunning wood fence project for a horse arena on a beautiful property in Parker, Colorado. The job required some extra effort to clear snow before we could begin installing the fence, but the end result was well worth it!

Planning the Project

Before we began work, the property owner walked the site with us to discuss the details of the project. This step helps us understand exactly what the client wants, ensuring we build the fence in the right location and according to their specific needs. With over 30 years of experience in building fences for horse arenas, we have a keen understanding of how to create durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing fences that stand the test of time.

Choosing the Right Materials

For this project, we used a 3-rail wood dowel fence for the arena area. This style of fence is a popular choice for horse properties due to its durability and clean, classic look. The fence features 5-inch diameter posts and 3.5-inch diameter rails, which are strong enough to withstand the wear and tear of daily use while maintaining a beautiful appearance.

We also installed the same wood dowel fencing for the 2-horse turnout areas, ensuring consistency and quality throughout the property.

The Project Timeline

This was a significant project, covering approximately 1,400 feet of fencing. From start to finish, it took about 10 days to complete. Our team worked efficiently and with great attention to detail to ensure the fence was installed properly and met the client’s expectations.
