This is about a 1000′ horse fence and livestock fence we built in Parker, Colorado. We used the 3 rail wood dowel with 5″ diameter posts and 3.5″ diameter rails.
We used a laser to maintain the accuracy of our fence placement in relation to the property line. The owners have dogs so we added 2×4 welded wire on it a well.
The installation of this livestock fence took 3 days to build and install.
